This major is perfect for those people who strive to make city landscapes brighter, greener, and more pleasant for townsfolk. Even though decorative crop production is usually associated with simple planting around city buildings or parks, in reality, it is much more creative. The numerous project types, practice types, along with professional possibilities available to someone with a background in landscape architecture are almost unlimited. From city parks to corporate buildings students who enter this program can design and implement solutions to make just about any space greener.
During their studies, future specialists learn to organize and manage suburban forests, to develop effective strategies and recommendations for preserving and improving the urban plants' planning, and of course to plan different recreation areas, sports zones, roads, and footpaths.
Students also get hands-on experience. They have a chance to turn their knowledge into practical ideas and plans during the internships. Students participate in a broad range of practice in the university’s Forest Institutions or other branches of the faculty.
As for the curriculum, the four-year undergraduate program consists of special disciplines like crop production, architectural graphics, landscaping, and fundamental subjects like botanic and soil sciences, geodesy, and dendrology.
This program enables graduates to address environmental problems with interesting solutions and to create better and greener urban landscapes.
