This program is for those who want to build a career in business management, become a professional in the field of business planning, human resource managementб and marketing. Students will be provided with the tools they need for starting, running, and managing a successful business initiative. This master's program is a great choice for students who have a bachelor’s degree in the field of economics, as well as in STEM, natural and social sciences.
Tomsk State University is the cradle of higher economic education in Siberia. Economic sciences appeared in the history of Tomsk State University in October 1898, when the Department of Political Economy and Statistics was established within the university's Faculty of Law. Since then, the economic education at Tomsk State University has had a long and tricky path of development.
Students gain knowledge of a wide range of disciplines, among which are general economic, industrial practices in banks; commercial and financial institutions, enterprises of Tomsk, Tomsk Oblast, and other regions of Russia, etc. The program involves the use of innovative educational technologies and teaching techniques, yet largely takes inspiration from the legacy of the Faculty of Economics.
The second part of the institute—former Faculty of International Management—has its origins in 1992, when Tomsk State University and Ohio State University (USA) have created a Russian-American college as part of the international program Education and Business in Siberia. It was later renamed to International College of Humanities, and on April 29, 1998 received a new name—Faculty of International Management.
The third part of the Institute is the Higher School of Business. It was founded on June 26, 1991 by decision of the university’s Academic Council. Its history evolved out of three small faculties: the Faculty of Economics, Business, and Management, the Faculty of Law, and the Faculty of International Relations. The Higher School of Business encompasses a wide range of bachelor’s and master’s programs and offers entrants the opportunity to get a prestigious education in various areas.
