The  program prepares students to understand and analyze the processes of historical development in ethnic and social communities, countries, and regions; to understand the differences between the scientific and socially-oriented historical knowledge.

During their studies, students get a thorough introduction to the theoretical approaches and practical tools of social sciences and humanities, as well as to the contemporary methods of the historical primary sources analysis. Getting themselves familiar with the history and the latest achievements of the Russian and international historical thought, students will develop the skills to work with different types of historical knowledge.

Students can specialize in historical and archeological research, applied historical analytics, and siberian studies and build individual educational paths through their respective programs.

Archaeological fieldwork is an integral part of the program which aims to provide the students with hands-on experience. Future archeologists need to understand that their studies and profession are connected with field research, which requires a student to occasionally work under harsh weather conditions, have good physical shape and emotional resilience.

During the studies, students will get opportunities to work closely with highly qualified professors, participate in internships, and conduct independent research.

Alumni can build careers in science, institutions of higher and secondary education (research centers and research institutes in humanities, universities, colleges, schools), archives, libraries, cultural centers, public authorities, mass media, analytical and expert centers.

2) copy of high school certificate/a registrar-issued transcript of grades for the last semester; upon arrival, students must provide the Admission Office with an original document

NOTE! documents received outside of Russia must be endorsed in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Russian Federation, or with an apostille (except when endorsement is not required by the legislation of the Russian Federation and (or) an international treaty)

3) certified translation of the diploma and the passport into the Russian language (can be submitted upon the arrival)

5) other diplomas and certificates proving any other achievements (if any)

6) entrance exams:

                - written test in history

                - written test in Russian language proficiency
