This program involves obtaining fundamental classical linguistic education on the basis of foreign languages. The study of large complex linguistic, methodical, translation, and cultural disciplines, and aimed to equip the students with skills for conducting research, teaching, and translation activities. The program provides a fundamental study of the main foreign language in a theoretical, applied, and communicative aspects, literature, and culture of the main countries of the studied language; it prepares the students for research and translation activities (oral, written, consecutive translation, etc. of various types of texts), and to work in the field of intercultural communication. The program includes the following main subjects: history, philosophy, information technologies in linguistics, linguistics, theory of language, theory of translation, economic/legal translation, technical translation, practical course consecutive interpretation, and others. Also, the University collaborates with translation companies and firms in Tomsk. This program allows training of students for working with various types of texts (creation, interpretation, expertise, transformation, distribution of artistic, journalistic, official, business, scientific texts, etc.) and the implementation of linguistic, interpersonal, and interethnic written and oral communication.

Required documents (to be submitted online):


1) a passport copy;

2) a high school certificate copy (OR a registrar-issued transcript of grades for the last semester); upon arrival students must provide the admissions committee with an original document;

NOTE! documents received in a foreign country are submitted legalized in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Russian Federation, or with the apostille (except when, in accordance with legislation of the Russian Federation and (or) an international treaty legalization and apostille are not required)

3) certified translation of the diploma and the passport into Russian language (can be submitted upon the arrival)

4) a completed application form (online)

5) other diplomas and certificates proving any other achievements (if available)

6) entrance exams:

                - written test in Foreign language 

                - written test in the Russian language

Tuition fee per year is 174 900 rub.
